The squirrel trail is 1.5 km long and is a very special experience thanks to the friendly little animals. Escape from everyday life and let the squirrels and birds eat out of your hand. The trail leads into the forest at Tomeli-Strasse (below the Waldhotel Arosa) and ends at the Maran bus stop. Towards the end of the trail, visitors will find a spacious playground with a barbecue area. Parking is available at Obersee or in the Ochsenbühl parking garage.

Discover Arosa and the surrounding area on a guided hike. In addition to unforgettable mountain panoramas, you will also have the opportunity to spot some wildlife. On request, you can be accompanied by an expert guide who will introduce you to the fauna and flora of Arosa.

Make the evening program a special highlight! Stroll through the countryside by torchlight. The torchlight hike can be combined as a circular tour or as a destination with dinner on the mountain. On request, you can be accompanied by a local guide.

Take the opportunity to be unavailable for a moment and listen to the stories of Markus Lütscher, one of the last mountain farmers in Arosa. The family tradition of the Lütschers is deeply rooted in the history of Arosa and goes back to his great-grandfather. The stable that Markus Lütscher looks after is an impressive, centuries-old log building located in Innerarosa, slightly above the village center and right next to the renowned Kulm Hotel. During a one-hour guided tour, you have the unique opportunity to visit the stable and gain fascinating insights into animal husbandry and farming in Arosa.

When building the new Valsana Hotel Arosa, special attention was paid to sustainable materials, products from Switzerland and a forward-looking energy concept. 

During the Green Hotel Tour, we will explain the sustainability efforts of the Valsana and the Tschuggen Hotel Group and take you to the heart of the hotel - our ice store.

Christian Sprecher - a qualified voice and speech coach, professional speaker and trained actor - will show you how to use your voice effectively, improve your speaking technique and present yourself with confidence.
Whether you take part as a company, group or individual, you will benefit from practical exercises that will improve your breathing, voice and speaking technique. Learn how to present your content in a lively, expressive and targeted manner and strengthen your appearance in a relaxed, inspiring environment.

Divided into teams, you build XXL ball tracks from wooden blocks. The more efficiently and intelligently the teams build their giant tracks, the better the balls roll from track to track. To make this complex project a success, your teams should plan, coordinate, distribute tasks and organize themselves. You can expect plenty of excitement, fun and action at the grand ball track finale! Will all the balls end up in the “pool of success”? Yoga Nidra for more peace, mindfulness and inner connection,
Yoga Nidra is a body-based meditation and relaxation practice. In this country, yoga nidra is mainly regarded as a technique for deep relaxation. However, it was originally developed as a spiritual practice. The aim was to calm and clear the mind so that deep states of meditation were possible. In a society where burnout syndromes and stress-related illnesses are widespread, yoga nidra is becoming increasingly popular because the practice relaxes on a physical, mental and emotional level. Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down, no physical requirements are necessary.

The Arosa Schanfigg local history museum is located in the “Eggahuus”, a knitting house built around 1600. The local history collection includes a weaving room, a house organ, a sports section with skis and sledges, a wood collection, tools and stuffed animals. Special exhibitions on specific themes complete the offer. The Arosa-Schanfigg cultural archive is attached to the museum. Everything that has been written about Arosa and Schanfigg is collected there. There is also an extensive collection of photos of Arosa and Schanfigg.

The Kulturhuus Schanfigg is a cultural meeting place for locals and guests. The association cultivates and promotes the original culture of Schanfigg in its traditional and contemporary form. The Nature Lab offers changing exhibitions on sustainable topics in the region every year. Each exhibition is designed to be interactive and invites visitors to actively engage with the content. Admission is free during opening hours so that everyone has the opportunity to discover the exhibitions. With snowshoes under your feet, you move through the wintry nature and enjoy wonderful views, the silence and the fresh, clear air. On our winter walk to Prätschli, we hear fascinating tales and legends about bears from all over the world, learn what other animals and plants do in winter with all sorts of things to touch in our exploration rucksack, chase after animal tracks and finally sledge back to the village.

Venture out onto the ice. Under expert guidance, you will be introduced to curling. At the end of the day, a small tournament will determine the champion of the group.  Curling, as well as the alternative curling, which can also be played when it is snowing, are played outside.

Experience the snow-covered winter wonderland with cross-country skis on the varied trails around Arosa. Whether beginner or advanced, classic or skating, challenging or leisurely, there is a suitable trail for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts. We are happy to organise a cross-country skiing guide who will introduce participants to the world of cross-country skiing and provide technical tips for advanced skiers.

Enjoy a day on a sledge and whizz through the snow-covered winter landscape. Whether by cable car or on foot to the top, fun is guaranteed on a speedy ride down into the valley. Who will be the quickest back down? Night owls have the option of combining the toboggan ride with dinner. Enjoy a fondue, raclette or another speciality from the menu. After dinner, the floodlit toboggan run takes you back to the village at breakneck speed.

Telemark is a skiing technique that originated in Norway. Get to know this exciting alternative to skiing and ski down the piste with elegant and dynamic turns. Whether you want to learn your first moves or hone your existing skills, the guides will pick you up where you are with your abilities.

Immerse yourself in the ultimate winter adventure and experience the freedom of freeriding away from the groomed pistes. Discover unspoilt slopes and breathtaking deep-snow landscapes. Trained guides will explain how to use the obligatory touring equipment and accompany you on your chosen freeride tour.

Do it like Marco Odermatt and compete in the giant slalom. There are two different race tracks available to you, both of which are equipped with electronic timekeeping. As the skiing ability of the group can vary greatly, it is possible to include obstacles. This increases the chances for non-skiing professionals and at the same time the fun factor.

Under professional guidance, you will build snow sculptures, your company logo, a snow bar (which will of course be tested afterwards) or a small igloo. Our tip "Apres Ski with a difference": We will meet you in the valley in front of your hotel to build a large snow bar for your aperitif (lit by torches and Finnish candles after dark).

The Yeti is threatening Arosa! But where is he at the moment? The mountain spirit Montafix, who will guide you on this adventure, will give you the first clues. Your team has to swarm out and search for the myth in a defined area. Equipped with a net and other equipment, you try to catch the yeti. An exciting and interesting day in the snow awaits you.

Teamwork & action! Divided into teams, you build original sledges from wood and old skis for a fun sledge race at the end.  The sledges should be sturdily built and stand out with their cool design. For safety reasons, the focus of the final race is on fun rather than speed.

Immerse yourself in a unique adventure on the ski slopes in Arosa Lenzerheide. The Escape Routes are a combination of game and real environment - an escape room on skis. The puzzles on the ski routes provide exciting challenges and require brains. Sharpen your senses, solve the tasks on the ski slopes and put your puzzle-solving skills to the test.

Did you know that we have a 4,000 m2 experimental station for fodder and potatoes and a 1,000 m2 alpine garden with around 500 vascularised plants in Arosa? During the morning, an expert will teach you the basics of the Arosa cultural landscape and you will get the chance to actively help with the weeding of the alpine plants.

Which vegetables bloom so beautifully here and are so popular with the little garden dwellers?
On a tour of the Schanfigg organic garden in Pagig, you will experience what it takes from seed to harvest-ready vegetables. Discover vegetable rarities and taste the fine, aromatic flavour of raw vegetables and fresh herbs. We are happy to tell you about our ecological approach to nature and the interaction between plants and animals in the garden.

The Astrophysical Observatory Tschuggen - Arosa (AOT) is located on the Tschuggen above Arosa. It was built in 1939 on the initiative of ETH astrophysicist Max Waldmeier by ETH Zurich and operated as an outstation of the Swiss Federal Observatory of ETH. Until 1980, research on solar physics - in particular the solar corona - was carried out at the AOT. You will receive exciting information about the equipment and its use and, with a bit of luck, you will also be able to observe the sun a little more closely.

Experience and marvel at the fascinating natural and animal world of Arosa. Find out what it means for the local animals to live and survive at around 1600-2900 m above sea level. In a landscape that is characterized by tourism, agriculture, forestry, hunting and other co-users.
As a local, active snow sports instructor, trained hunter and former head of rescue for the Arosa Alpine Rescue Service, Reto Fritz offers wildlife watching in and around Arosa. With a bit of luck and the necessary patience, deer, roe deer, chamois, ibex, foxes, badgers, weasels, stoats, eagles, bearded vultures and some other inhabitants can be observed.

Experience the beauty of nature and at the same time make a valuable contribution to the protection and preservation of our forests! In cooperation with Forst Arosa, we offer you the opportunity to take part in various charitable projects that are tailored to the seasonal needs of the forest.

Possible applications:

• Planting: Support the Forst Arosa team in planting new plants and help shape the forests of tomorrow.
• Build fences: Help build fences around newly set plants to protect them from deer browsing and other damage.
• Clearing branches: Take part in the important task of clearing branches to clear the forest floor and help maintain the forest.
• Alpine work: Be there when the Arosa Forestry team cuts tännli and carries out other maintenance work on the alps - ideal for families and children!

There's also something to eat and drink: join the team for a delicious soup or sausages freshly prepared over the fire in the forest at lunchtime.
Every contribution counts and helps to preserve the unique nature of Arosa. Together we make a difference - and enjoy the company and the food in the great outdoors.

Their mission is to build rafts divided into teams for a final race. The objective: to complete the rafts as quickly as possible in a construction competition. The final race on the lake is always fun.

Hire a Kickboard and explore Arosa on two small wheels. The ride starts in the 1st section with the Weisshorn gondola. From there, it's a leisurely ride over the Arlenwald forest with a great view towards the village. Why not make a stop at one of the restaurants along the way?

Equipped with a great club and soft rubber balls, the aim is to play around natural obstacles on the given courses. On the 9-hole course, every participant can show off their skills, sometimes a good eye is required, sometimes sensitivity and of course ambition. At the end of the course, the middle station or the Prätschlistall is the ideal place for an aperitif and award ceremony.

Have a competition on the Obersee with the pedalos or let yourself drift and enjoy the idyllic landscape, watch fish and ducks in their element.  

Take on a varied course with bow and arrow and shoot at 28 3D animals. This is possible at the archery park in Fatschél, St. Peter at 1,500 metres above sea level from the beginning of June to around mid-October.

The rope park is located in the middle of the natural tree population on the forest festival meadow. On the eight courses (2 for children and 6 for teenagers & adults), we guarantee climbing enthusiasts a unique experience - thanks to a mixture of courage, skill and exercise in the great outdoors.

Discover the wonderful mountain world with an expert guide or on your own. You choose whether you want to take it easy or challenging.  If you prefer to take it a little easier or have planned a longer route, you can also hire an e-bike. We recommend that you do not mix bikers and e-bikers and form separate groups.

Get to know the sport of golf under expert guidance. On Europe's highest 18-hole golf course, you can hole your balls amidst unique Alpine flora and surrounded by the unique mountain panorama of Arosa. Chipping, putting, teeing off. Range balls and rental clubs are included.

On the bear adventure hike, we immerse ourselves in the life of wild bears on an easy to moderately difficult hike along the bear adventure trail. This hike is all about the bear myth, the relationship between man and Master Petz and the fascination of the "big brown bear". We get to know the bears of this world and listen to legends and stories from all over the world. There are all sorts of things to touch and marvel at, and with a bit of luck we might spot marmots, chamois and other companions of the bear in the same habitat.

Inside the inconspicuous little church of Lüen, you can discover a true and rather unknown gem - the frescoes by the Waltenburg Master. Go on a discovery tour with cultural guide Sidonia Kasper and listen to her expert explanations during a guided tour of the church.

Discover 15 sound installations or sound objects in the various villages, through which the cultural history of Schanfigg can be experienced on both sides of the valley. The sound experiences can be ideally combined with a hike along the Schanfigg village trail.

How about a hike from Langwies via Peist to Fatschel? The 2nd stage of the village trail takes you past various sound installations. In Langwies, you can listen to the stories of an Italian guest worker on the Langwies viaduct at the Ti Abbraccio station. In Peist, you will learn the names of agricultural tools in the Walser dialect. Next to the Brunnastübli in Peist, you can play an original post horn from 1831 and in Fatschél, a jukebox in the ski lift chalet provides a great atmosphere. Lace up your hiking boots and off you go!
